U devetom meču na Svetskom kupu naše u Osaki izgubile od domaćina s 3:2 (21:25, 21:25, 25:20, 25:20, 15:6).
Posle dva dana predaha naša podmlađena reprezentacija nastavila je takmičenje. U prvom od tri poslednja meča na Svetskom kupu, a sva tri se igraju u Osaki, pobeda joj je bila nadohvat ruke, a onda, čim je popustila, sve se okrenulo u korist Japanki.

Domaći tim je na krilima publike zaigrao fanatično. Svaki sledeći poen, a neki su bili izvojevani i volšebno, jačao mu je samopouzdanje, dok su naše sasvim pogubile konce igre, doprinoseći razigranim protivnicama čestim greškama i lošom organizacijom napada.
Srbija ima četiri pobede i pet poraza. S 13 bodova je među 12 učesnika na deobi sedmog mesta baš s Japanom.
U subotu u 8 časova po našem sledi susret s olimpijskim šampionom Kinom, trećim suparnikom iz Azije, koja bi pobedom i overila trijumf. U nedelju u 5.30 časova za kraj igramo protiv Dominikane.
